Membership

Anyone wishing to try the sport is most welcome, school age or pensioner!  No equipment or special clothing is required apart from flat rubber soled shoes.

Initially we suggest having a 'roll up' accompanied by one of our members, just to get the feel of the bowls [known as woods] by rolling them along the green. Times can be arranged to suit you, free of charge.  

The camaraderie is wonderful on the green and you will wonder why you've not tried it before. Be warned, bowling is addictive!!

If you are already an experienced bowler you will also be very welcome. Friendly matches are arranged on weekdays and weekends. Market Overton also competes in the Stamford & District Bowls League, as well as the smaller Melton Triples League and Kings Cup.

'Chummy' nights take place each Thursday evening.
